craft · reflect · connect
what is UNDO?
UNDO is a creative self-care space where crafting becomes a way to slow down, reflect and connect - making space to listen inwards, express ourselves creatively and play, without the pressure to be productive or create something beautiful.
the idea for UNDO grew out of a big transition in my own life. when i moved to cyprus in august 2024, it was one of the biggest transitions of my life. although cyprus was familiar to me through my family, living here was something completely different. there was a new country, a new everyday life, new experiences and so much to adjust to and explore.
since childhood, creativity has been one of the ways i process life. when there is a lot to take in, i turn to creating, writing, playing and making things with my hands. so, during this transition, i started UNDO as a space to share creative self-care ideas - small ways of using creativity to slow down, process experiences and reconnect with myself.
over time, i realised that i didn't only want to create by myself. i wanted to create and reflect with others too. so i started offering workshops, and the community side of UNDO grew from there, becoming a space where people could come together to craft, reflect, play and connect.
the UNDO philosophy
open · soften · unlearn
open
to open up, loosen what has become tight and make space for what is here. like undoing a knot, we can gently begin to unravel and see what is underneath.
soften
to let go of some of the pressure we carry. to make space for vulnerability, slowness, imperfection and play.
unlearn
to question the things we have learned about how we are supposed to live, behave and create.
the person behind UNDO
hi, I’m Sofia
i'm sofia - a social worker, creative and sensitive human :)
creativity has always been one of the ways i process what i experience. since i was a child, i have turned to playing, writing and creating to process my everyday experiences and everything i feel and take in from the world around me. as a sensitive person, i experience emotions deeply and often absorb a lot of what is happening around me. this can be beautiful, but it also needs an outlet. for me, creativity has often been that outlet - a way to express what is difficult to put into words, to reconnect with myself and to simply get something out of my head and into my hands.
my background as a social worker has shaped the other side of UNDO. for many years, i worked in a community center and in youth work, where i experienced how powerful it can be to create things together. crafting alongside someone can build trust, open up conversations and create space to learn from each other. sometimes it doesn't even need a lot of words. simply sitting together, creating and crafting can create a sense of connection and of being held by the people around us.
over time, i realised how closely these two parts of me belong together: my own creative practice and what i've learned through my work with people. creativity can help us become curious, play, get messy, draw outside the lines, open up and connect with parts of ourselves that we might otherwise overlook. this is what led me to create spaces where other people can experience that, too.
with UNDO, i hope to create moments where we can slow down in a fast-paced world. moments to be present, to play, to process feelings and experiences, and perhaps express something that is difficult to put into words. moments where we can connect with ourselves while also feeling held and connected to the people around us.
